Branded manufacturer wanted to expand into small foot-print Dollar stores but needed to protect against large-format margin compression, inventory losses and trans-shipments. We modeled the cost and profit impacts of smaller case-packs in small and large-footprint retailers for specific SKUs. We recommended pricing and case packs that met small-footprint economics, but were cost prohibitive for large format retailers.

Results

Gained distribution in 5000+ small-footprint locations and grew unit volume for the total brand by 3.5%.
